Making Flooring Easy!

Dan Kahn is one of the owners of Floors To Your Home, which is the online site for the since 1921 family owned business, Irvin Kahn & Son, Inc. W. David Lichty is an editor and podcaster by hobby, who has worked for Dan since 2009, writing most of the site’s Expert Center pieces explaining flooring as clearly as he could (many of these have become mini-episodes of the podcast). Combining Dan’s family saturation in flooring with David’s researching for the novice’s needs, we hope to make all of the things which make flooring mysterious, confusing and difficult become much less so for the listener. Yes, there IS a lot to it, but it can make sense much more easily than it might seem if you try to Google for your answers. We try, and hope we succeed, to approach this from the brand new shopper/owner’s perspective, explaining everything in a logical order, and using as little jargon as we can avoid in the process. We’re playing the opposite of Information Keep-away here, so that wherever you shop (and yes, we sell this stuff), you’ll know what you need and how to get it, or do it.
